It gets to be a bit of a challenge when you have to be your own model. (the loneliness most)

Peace

Wow terrific shot! Lucky you don't have to decorate all those trees. Much peace and happiness to you.

Skiing away from a camera on a tripod with a timer... You must be in good shape -- better shape than me!

wireless remote... but had to do it a number of times to get the remote to trigger, its range seems to be ten feet or less--a replacement for a wired remote -- 'need a new wireless remote.

Peace

Way to ruin my warm and fuzzy feelings about the coming spring. ;)

Lovely shot. How long of a delay on the timer?

It was a wireless remote release. I found that it rarely triggers beyond about ten feet and then, only when I point it at the camera. I made about two dozen exposures from about 5-6 dozen tries. In almost all the images, I'm holding the thing up in plain sight looking at the camera to see if the little red light was on. I was successful in only a couple images where it looked like I was actually skiing and not holding up my arm and looking at the camera. In a couple where I was skiing up the trail toward the camera, I was able to clone out the remote and its antenna. I need a new remote. I am using this one now as a replacement for my wire remote that broke a while back.

Peace

That is what it looks like here in Boise right now, and more is on the way tomorrow.

There's nothing wrong with being your own model. You're quite the dashing wilderness explorer!

if I didn't know better I'd swear you'd stuck those trees in perfect position just before pressing the release button. ; ) Beautiful composition, with a little Ed as bonus. : )
