That's really lovely. Not in a style I normally associate with you (nor for that matter in a style I'd normally look twice at). But it's really gorgeous. I love it!

how so not my style? 'just a straight long exposure after sunset... I often do them...

When photographing sunsets when others are about, I wait and wait and wait while everyone leaves including the sun... thirty minutes after sunset, I make an exposure... a long one to saturate the afterdark hues... You'd get brilliant color down there where there's pollutants in the air... and east and south of there where the Bay's air is pushed inland and then south up the valley, the post sunset color is amazingly saturated with red... Morro Rock in the southern Sierra... wow!

Peace

ps the work I'll be showing for April (when I'll be 'featured artist' at our gallery) will be a departure from what I normally print. Macros, some extreme, where the depth of field even at f/32 is narrow and the images have large out of focus details... I'm going to have to make some sort of statement about why they aren't sharp overall.

so much to do... so little time

I think it's because I generally think of your broad landscapes as having more detail. I really like the wash of color. It's the way things look if you really pay attention (if that makes any sense at all).

yep, like right now, it's hailing out and there's a snowstorm in the mountains across the water with silhouetted features but no detail.

Peace

Wow. Nice work, Ed. This one radiates stillness and the ebbing warmth of a summer day. : )

I love the bold colour and the subtle shades between the mountain ridges. Nice capture!

The Brothers print

Outstanding print of the Brothers!
It is a favorite range of ours although we are not likely to climb it without a good airplane.
Nice work.
