I'm seeing this one before the horizontal and, after seeing the horizontal, I much prefer this one. You know Ed, you have the effect of wanting to make me, a person that hasn't live in snow year 'round since the late 50s (omg) want to do just that in order to have the experience of actually being there in one of your images. :-)

down here in the Puget Sound, we rarely have snow (this season an exception) I do like to go to the snow but haven't used a snow shovel here except when we got a freak snowstorm in '96 where we got three feet of snow followed by four inches of rain that soaked into the snow... I had to shovel our 440sf deck and that meant over the rail... too much shoveling for me... when I move snow in the mountains it's with a diesel but then there is shoveling sometimes but I take my time and allow others to do their share.

we don't have to shovel the rain... usually

I like it both ways! Your camera doesn't seem capable of missing, Ed! :)

I should go this week - I'd been thinking of substituting the Skagit for the Nisqually because the bald eagles are sparce up north (and here) this year and I missed the Snow Geese... again - grrr

It's kind of terrifying, how steep it is.
