I like that shot. How many miles of rope to you figure are on that thing?

It kind of reminds me of The Star of India, here in San Diego.

This latest series of photography is stunning! Are the Lady and the Chieftain going to remain in Coupeville through this weekend for the Arts and Crafts Festival?

There's a schedule on their website, I remember them making a port of call in Brownsville here on the Kitsap Peninsula and in Tacoma. I think they were going to be in Penn Cove for only a few days.

I'd like to talk to you about a scout trail maintenance party and overnighter at Copper Creek cabin. Check the Mount Tahoma Trails website at http://mounttahomatrails.org for details.

Peace

Boats in Brownsville

Howdy Ed,
The Lady and the Hawaiian Chieftain are scheduled to make a stop at the Brownsville Marina. They're supposed to sail over from Seattle next Monday (the 20th)and stay until the afternoon of Thursday the 23rd. Folks can sign up for "battle" sailings and sunset cruises at 1.800.200.5239.
I went on a whale-watching cruise on the Lady W. a few years back. We saw several grays, but didn't get up close to any. The second-best part of the excursion (beyond just being aboard on the open ocean) was setting off all the car alarms in Westport's harbor-front parking area when she fired her guns leaving port.

Re: Boats in Brownsville

yeah, I saw the schedule on the Grays Harbor website. One of those climb aboard sail (or motor) off and come back in costs about $66/adult. I think I'd rather hire someone to fly me past them while at sea with sail unfurled for areal (sp?) images. The car alarms were just returning salutes of their own... now, get back to taxes...

Peace
